Presents:
UFFIZI VIRTUAL MUSEUM (UVM)
(Bridge Continents-Connect Cultures)
A two-month Non-For Profit Educational and Cultural community projects designed by Hitachi Digital of Japan featuring renditions of Italian Renaissance Art presented jointly with art works of selected contemporary Guam artist for a period of two months starting September 2014.
Location:
(Tentative) At Underwater World Complex second floor, at the center of Tumon, Guam's most notorios tourism and commerical area.
Scope:
1) Because of Guam particular geographical remoteness, its inhabitants, in particular Guam’s student population, have never been exposed to Renaissance Art and artists such as Leonardo, Botticelli, and Michelangelo, and other. As the exhibit’s theme: Bridge Continents – Connect Culture proposes, UVM will present those artworks for the first time in Guam together with selected art works of contempaorary Guam artists.
2) UVM exhibit will support the under constriction Guam Museum by stimulate and awake the community conscience in Art and raise funds for the Guam Museum Foundation. The UVM exhibit will be an example for future Art presentations and will extend Art education to Guam’s students.
Program Books and Students Educative Booklets, especially prepared for the occasion, will recognize all sponsors and participants.
Financial:
Total cost estimated is of $83,630. Received contributions: $13,000, with additional expected contributions: $10,630.
